The product of multiple distortions, from the fading dye of aged paper to alterations imposed by systems of digital to analog translation. Captured using a scanner made for rendering color readings into various implications of digital code, each designed to operate within a specific infrastructure of visual representation.


Materials: Repurposed light fixtures and fluorescent tubes, aluminum frame, inkjet print on Canon backlit film FP4999b, plexiglass.

ABOUT THE ARTIST(S):

The work of Emil Sandström (b.1994, Åsele, SWE) encompasses sculptural installation, sound, photography and writing. He currently lives and works in Malmö, SWE and holds an MFA (2022) and BFA (2020) from Malmö Art Academy.
