SWEET HARMONY
(2022)
TLF Trio

Named after the 1991 hardcore rave classic by Liquid, this acoustic almost beat-less album contains music that is more sculptural than narrative and that fluidly shapeshifts from being an object in the room to being the room itself – just as Louise Lawler’s distorted image from the Stedelijk Museum that adorns its cover.

Materials: Album. Stereo sound. Released on streaming and vinyl. Duration 39.14 minutes.

ABOUT THE ARTIST(S):
TLF Trio is an experimental chamber music group consisting of cellist Cæcilie Trier, pianist Jakob Littauer and guitarist M. K. Frøslev, who’s music moves between written composition and improvisation and channels free jazz, minimalism and modes of Central-European Classical of the Late Renaissance and Early Baroque.

The Danish trio, who is based in Berlin and Copenhagen, released their first collaborative album Sweet Harmony on the French electronic and experimental label Latency in 2022, which introduced their finely de/re-constructed chamber music.
